Manas is perhaps the most scenic and perhaps has the most biodiversity among Indian forests. Nestled in the Himalayan foothills at Indian state of Assam, Manas was once the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Cooch Behar. The park has gone through severe man made calamities in the past and was a world heritage site under threat. In recent years the park has recovered all its lost glory and proudly stands as the UNESCO world heritage site of Nature.

In the land of mighty river Brahmaputra and its tributary Manas, India's prestigious Manas National Park hosts more than 450 species of birds, out of which Great Horbill, Robbins, Eagles, Osprey, Falcons, and ducks of various types can be easily spotted. There are over 40 species of reptiles and 3 species of amphibians. Golden langur, Capped langur, hollock gibbon and other apes can be witnessed here. Bramhaputra river Dolphins enthralls the visitors here.

GROUPOUTING™ trips at Manas are arranged by clubbing Manas National Park which falls in the Indian territory and Royal Manas National Park in the neighboring country Bhutan. GroupOuting™ offers both wildlife and leisure trips to Manas, ranging between 3-5 days. For leisure trips participants are offered day visits inside the park in elephant safari mode or by jeep. They stays are provided at luxurious eco lodges around the periphery of the park near Banshbari area. One can experience exquisite cuisines, local heritage and culture as well as can visit tea gardens. Activities like Nature walk, star gazing, Bonfire etc., are part of the regular tour itinerary.

Photographic expeditions are presented in full day excursion mode. GroupOuting™ offers the best ambience for its guests as nights are spent at Eco lodges in traditional BODO hospitality. For professionals, GroupOuting™ recommends its esteemed guests to spend nights at the nomadic Mathanguri forest lodge.

The magical biodiversity of the land offers you unique wildlife sightings such as Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Pygmy Hog, Slow Loris, Bengal Florican, Malayan giant squirrel. In winter birding expeditions, we have recorded close to 100 individual birds in 3 nights 4 day trips. The participants roam around central, western and eastern ranges of the park as well as Royal Manas National Park in search of birds and wildlife. All our expeditions are mentored by professionals.

On our past tours, our team has witnessed birdlife such as Bengal florican, great hornbills, jungle fowls, bulbuls, brahminy ducks, kalij pheasants, egrets, pelicans, fishing eagles, crested serpent-eagles, falcons, scarlet minivets, bee-eaters, grey hornbills, mergansers, harriers, Indian Peafowl, ospreys, herons and many more.

Apart from Birdlife one can easily spot water buffaloes and Rhinos. If you are lucky, you may spot Tigers, black panthers and even melanistic cats in Manas. In GO photographic expeditions we offer Bramhaputra river dolphin cruises and Golden Langur tracking under close eyes of nature guides.
