Tadoba Andhari Tiger reserve often regarded as THE JEWEL OF VIDHARBHA situated at Chandrapur district of the Indian state of Maharashtra is a famous forest and Tiger’s territory. The Park is situated at the banks of River Andhari and named after Tribal God Tadu/Taru famously worshipped by Local guardians and saviour of the jungles THE PROUD GOND TRIBALS. According to Gond mythology Tadu was died in an encounter with tiger. A large tree at the banks of Tadoba marks its identity. During the Hindu month of Pausa a huge gathering in form of forest fare takes place.

Day 1

Participants from their hometowns will arrive at Nagpur airport or railway station and will be then transferred to a jungle lodge around the periphery of the park. Evening free at leisure and for nature walk. Overnight at lodge (Meals L,D).

Day 2

Morning safari at Core Zone and Evening safari at Buffer zone of the reserve in shared vehicle with a maximum of 6 people on sharing mode.  Overnight at lodge (Meals B,L,D).

Day 3

Morning safari at Core zone and after breakfast the team will be transfer to Nagpur airport or railway station. (Meals B,L).

Tariff Includes
  1. All safari permits, guide fees, vehicle rent needed inside the forest.

  6. Bottled mineral water 2 liters per person per day.
  7. All foods in B, L, D plans and morning tea.

Tariff Excludes
  1. Any journey fare from person's place of residence to park’s nearest airport, rail station or bus stop.
  2. Any Travel Insurance.
  3. Any alcoholic or nonalcoholic drink
  4. Any food costs apart from the mentioned ones.
  5. Any laundry, telephonic bill, Tipping, Internet billing or expenditure of personal use
  6. Any facilities related to visa or airfare or rail fare services (however we will be happy to serve in case of necessity arises).
  7. Anything not mention under tariff includes.
Essentials To Carry
  1. Backpack (45-55 L) with sturdy straps and supporting frame
  2. Knap pack (20L) optional.
  3. Trekking shoes – no sports shoes. (With Rubber Sole, high ankle).
  4. Trek pants.
  5. Tees with collar.
  6. A full sleeve thick jacket or fleece (should be marked to work under -25 deg c.
  7. Thermal inners (woolen)
  8. Sports socks (should be changed at each night)
  9. Woolen monkey cap.
  10. Wind cheater Or a light rain coat/poncho.
  11. Woolen hand gloves + synthetic glove (water proof).
  12. Sun glasses (polarized or UV protected).
  13. Cold cream and sun screen lotion (SPF 40+).
  14. Lip balm.
  15. Water bottles
  16. Personal toilet kit and toilet papers.
  17. Personal medicine kit. Please consult a physician and ask to give medicines (to prevent AMS, fever motion sickness, allergies, Pain killer, headache, diarrhea, acidity, aches, & sprains)
  18. Small repair kit consisting of( safety pins, needle, thread and string.,Crepe bandage – 3 to 5 meters,Gauze, Band aid Cotton, ORS, antiseptic cream, pain relif spray).
  19. LED Torch with 2 extra set of cells.
  20. Camera, memory-cards, batteries etc (carry enough spare batteries. Electricity is not available on the slopes or at the base camp).
  21. Plastic bags.
  22. Trekking pole/Stick.
  23. Carry lots of dry fruits, chocolates combinations as snacks, chewing gums.

Things needed to book safaris
  1. Govt. Approved ID card for Indian Nationals and Passport for Foreigners and SAARC citizens in original. And to be shown on demand to the respective authority.
  2. Safari and stay permits needs to book before 60 days of travel from forest department.
  3.  For booking safari and entry permits, stay permits we need full name, address, age, sex valid I'D card details of each and every traveler.
  4. The same ID card which is used during booking permits should be carried by the person and to be shown to the Forest officials on demand.
  5. Apart from Indians foreigners included SAARC citizens passport is the only valid ID proof.
  6. Book for at least 3 days for better wildlife viewing opportunity.
  7. It is advisable to plan your safaris and holiday before 3 months of actual date of travel to avoid rush and selecting proper drivers and guides.
Points to remember
  • Tiger sighting opportunities depends on luck and equal in all the three zones. Man made and natural water hole in summer as well as throughout the year are perfect habitat for tigers mainly are at Mohurli and Tadoba zone. This park has numerous lakes and ponds like Tadoba, Teliya, Pandarponi, Waghdoh in which tigers in their habitat can easily be seen.
  • Apart form Tigers – Floras – trees include Ain (crocodile bark), Bija, Dhauda, Hald, Salai, Semal and Tendu. beheda, hirda,      karaya gum, mahua Madhuca (Crepe myrtle) and Lannea coramandelica (Wodier Tree) are other common    species.
    Faunas Indian leopards, sloth bears, gaur, nilgai, dhole, striped hyena, small Indian civet, jungle cats,    sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, chital, chausingha and Honey Badger. can be observed with CROCS  and the BIG CAT TIGER.
  • Nearest ATM is at chandrapur 35 kms and petrol pump is also at chandrapur,so it is always preferred to carry cash.
  • All the hotels and resorts have primary first aid kit but the nearest hospital is at chandrapur.
  • Mobile/broadband service – Reliance , Airtel works in mohurli but there is broadband connectivity what so ever , rest of the gates are null and void.
  • While travelling please carry your ID cards as mentioned in the ticket with a printed copy of the ticket, maintain silence wear clothes that suites the nature.
  • Don’t fall in with touts don’t even think of paying bribe and execution by other means as the whole system is crystal clear and computerized. Any violation of this will cancel your permit for both present and future and you will be trailed under forest acts.
  • It is advisable to plan your safaris and holiday before 3 months of actual date of travel to avoid rush and selecting proper drivers and guides.
  • Fitness certificate is not mandatory but person should agrees to be physically fit during participants and a form should be filled by GO mentioning that. He should abide the rules and regulations set by the mentor on trip.
  • Mentor can change the itinerary as per his knowledge on field for better wildlife viewing and his decision is final in that case. However it will not affect the cost and duration of the trip.
  • No refund can be made if a participant flouts forest norms which will be told in advance to the guests. Safety and security of the traveler inside the national park is solely one’s own. However mentor will guide participants with safety instructions. In case of act of god, natural calamities, situation of public unrest, strikes and all which is undesired and not caused by Group Outing Pvt. Ltd. In any case Group Outing fails to organize a scheduled trip for which participants has already paid advance or full amount, full refund will be given to the participants.
  • Any discrepancy at any stage of the trip if arrives in case of the identity of the guests and ID cards, the person is liable to persecution under acts of the government. Group Outing will strictly obey forest and transport, hospitality rules as directed by government of India.
  • All legal matters are subject to Kolkata jurisdiction only.
Rules And Regulations
  • The safari tickets should be booked well in advance with Maharashtra forest department. All the safaris are done by 6 by 6 open gypsy.
  • Private vehicles are also allowed with proper tickets and with extra fees. While booking the safaris, clearly mention the name of the travellers with proper Identity card numbers. The same identity card has to be shown before the forest official on demand before the games drive else the ride gets cancelled.
  • For foreign nationals, passport is only the valid authority. Those that the name of persons properly are understood as mentioned on the ticket, are only allowed for the drive.
  • No current booking system is available except in Mohurli, where a bus/canter takes visitors to the drive. It also depends on the no. of visitors available.
  • No . of safari vehicles – 25 from Mohurli ,16 from Kolara, 9 each in Khutawanda and Navegaon and 6 each from Zhari and Pangdi are allowed per round inside the park.
Payment Policy
  • In order to book a GroupOuting™ Exclusive tour, 50% payment is needed. Use the payment button to proceed booking the tour.
  • You will receive a payment receive on payment of booking fee. The remainder 50% fee has to be paid 15 days before the departure date.
  • The undisputed refund amount, if applicable, will be refunded within 10 days of notifying GroupOuting™.
Cancellation Policy
  • Once the safari is booked with respective state forest departments, no refund can be made under such cases. If in any situation the department refunds the amount we will refund the same to the customer. This is only valid for safari permit and vehicle rental inside the park.
  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, no cancellation fees will be applicable.
  • If cancellations are made within 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 20% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 7-15 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-7 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.
